ATLAS is a pirate MMO game made by Grapeshot Games, a sister team of Studio Wildcard led by Jeremy Stieglitz and Jesse Rapczak. ATLAS claims to host up to 40,000 players exploring an oceanic world simultaneously.

Early access release

Upon a delayed release in early access, the Steam reviews are overwhelmingly negative, with main issues reported:^[1]

serious performance issues even on high-end systems
lack of server space leading to connection time-outs
unoriginal content, copied from Ark
maximum 150 instead of promised 40,000 player servers
