The Bloodstalker Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Bloodstalker Eggs are dropped after two Bloodstalkers have mated.

After two Bloodstalkers mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby Bloodstalker.

Hatching[edit | edit source]

Similar to the Mantis Egg Scorched Earth Icon.png, the Bloodstalker Egg cannot be picked up by any other means. To be able to hatch the egg, a nearby fire place must be present to incubate it on the spot. Alternatively, the female Bloodstalker can be positioned close to several Air Conditioner to allow the egg to be laid nearby.

Once hatched, the baby takes in raw meat rather than cooked meat. They also consume blood packs at a much slower rate than meat.

Note[edit | edit source]

  • Bloodstalker Egg is the first to
    • be obtained via breeding with two insect creatures, which is normally impossible for others. (This eventually lead to some insects becoming breedable in TLC3 with eggs bearing similar restriction.)
    • have an animated appearance.
    • have a different hatching sound effect.
  • Despite the description, the egg itself can't be picked up, which makes it impossible to make any kibbles with it, even if it was cheated inside.
  • The egg cannot be used in kibble recipes.
