Overview[edit | edit source]

Cloth Boots are a Feet-slot armor piece from the first tier of Armors, Cloth. It's low material cost makes it easy for beginners to craft, although the Engram Point cost is notable.

They can be found in white beacons.

Aside from providing rudimentary protection, Cloth Boots (as well as the rest of the Cloth Armor set) are notable for reducing the effects of both Hot & Cold temperatures. This feature is only shared with the Ghillie Gear to all the currently available Armor pieces.

Cloth Boots & Cloth Gloves are the only Cloth Armor pieces that require Hide. Beginning players should take note of this, especially if they haven't begun any hunting yet.
Because of its temperature-negating properties and light weight, experienced players are recommended to carry Cloth Boots in their inventory to switch out with their primary armor during extreme Heat and/or Cold. This is especially helpful during long excursions from the player's base, where otherwise the player would be devoid of temperature-controlling elements.

Like most items, Cloth Boots can be dyed different colors. One Dye is consumed anytime the player changes the color of a region.
Region 1 - Bulk of the Cloth Boots' material, encompassing the heel, sole, and tongue.
Region 2 - The shoestring and trim.

Remember that dyed items require repair for continued use; newly crafted items come without any color.
