The Dimetrodon Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Overview[]
Dimetrodon Eggs are randomly dropped by Dimetrodons. They can be eaten or used to make Regular Kibble for taming Anglerfish, Ankylosaurus, Baryonyx, Beelzebufo, Carbonemys, Carnotaurus, Dimetrodon, Diplodocus, Doedicurus, Gigantopithecus, Ichthyornis, Kaprosuchus, Kentrosaurus, Lymantria, Pelagornis, Pteranodon, Pulmonoscorpius, Purlovia, Sabertooth, Sarco, Stegosaurus, Terror Bird, Thorny Dragon, and Velonasaur. On ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile , they can be used to make Kibble (Dimetrodon Egg) for taming Gallimimus.
After two Dimetrodons mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby Dimetrodon.
Grabbing an egg in the presence of wild Dimetrodons will cause them to become hostile and attack the survivor.
Incubation
The Dimetrodon Egg takes 2h 29m 59.28s to hatch. It must be in the temperature range of 30 to 34 °C / 86 to 93 °F to successfully hatch, otherwise it will start to lose Health. The female Dimetrodon needs between 18h and 2d before having the capacity to lay eggs again. The incubation time can be reduced by up to 20% if the egg is placed in an Egg Incubator at the ideal temperature.
Super Fertilized Egg (Mobile)[]
This section is about a feature exclusively available on Mobile |
Super Fertilized Dimetrodon Eggs are a type of Dimetrodon Egg exclusive to ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile.
These Eggs can be obtained after a female Dimetrodon with a Carnivore Pheromone applied has laid one. They will hatch quicker than normal Dimetrodon Eggs and the baby Dimetrodon will have better stats when it has hatched.
They can also be used to craft Super Kibble (Dimetrodon Egg), which will tame Creatures faster and with more taming effectiveness.
Notes[]
Dimetrodons need to be swimming in water to lay eggs regularly. Dimetrodons on land very rarely lay eggs. One way to determine if the water is deep enough is to feed them about 30 stimberries and see if they poop. If they poop, the water is deep enough.
