Southeast Trench

A Stygian Trench.
Location

Overview

The Southeast Trench is a location in the DLC: The Center that was added in PC patch 245.0.

The Southeast Trench is located in the south-eastern oceans just north of the Redwood Forests, east of Skull Island and south of the Southern Tropical Island at the coordinates around 72/90. This is a very dangerous place to venture as visibility is near-zero and pitch-black. Angler Angler, Dunkleosteus Dunkleosteus, and the occasional Mosasaurus Mosasaurus lurk in its dark depths. Two magnificent caverns lie at the bottom filled with luminous purple crystals are a rewarding sight for those few survivors brave enough to take the plunge. The smaller of the two caves will also occasionally contain a Deep Sea Loot Crate.

Resource-wise, only Oil Oil can be found at its seafloor, however Angler Gel Angler Gel is abundant here.

As there is no current name for the new extension to the see information has been placed here as the Southeast Trench opens up to the new Deep Sea so all information is here as following.
