Gas-Crafted[]
Gasoline can also be crafted from 
Congealed Gas Ball (at the Chemistry Bench after learning the Gas Collector Engram), 
Green Gem or Fragmented Green Gem 
. For the option
Gasoline (Gas-Crafted), the icon within the Chemistry Bench is a pink variation of Oil, but selecting to craft Gas-Crafted Gasoline will produce standard Gasoline within the bench's inventory.

As of patch 260 the cost for oil was raised from 3 oil to 6 (although the patch notes mention it as a singleplayer only change, it has affected multiplayer as well).
