The Glowtail Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved DLC Aberration.

Overview[]

Glowtail Eggs are randomly dropped by Glowtails. They can be eaten or used to make Simple Kibble for taming Archaeopteryx, Diplocaulus, Gallimimus, Giant Bee, Ichthyosaurus, Iguanodon, Megaloceros, Morellatops, Pachy, Raptor, and Triceratops.

After two Glowtails mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby Glowtail.

Grabbing an egg in the presence of wild Glowtails will cause them to become hostile and attack the survivor.

Incubation

Disambig.png Main article: Incubation

The Glowtail Egg takes 2h 29m 59.28s to hatch. It must be in the temperature range of 30 to 34 °C / 86 to 93 °F to successfully hatch, otherwise it will start to lose Health. The female Glowtail needs between 18h and 2d before having the capacity to lay eggs again. The incubation time can be reduced by up to 20% if the egg is placed in an Egg Incubator at the ideal temperature.
