Overview
The Mountains are considerably more dangerous than the nearby High Desert, having an abundance of predators in the area. In addition, there are no water veins in the mountains. However, the Mountains are also the most reliable source for Crystal, Sulfur, Raw Salt, and Metal. One must take care while harvesting rocks, however, as any number of them can be Rock Elementals in disguise. On the northern and southern edges of the mountains, two of the Oases can be found, with the Blue and Red Obelisks above them, respectively. The Grave of the Tyrants is found on the northern side of the Mountains.

Surroundings
To the east is the High Desert, from which the mountains can be more easily accessed. Traveling down the western slope is more difficult without a flyer, as there are few easy roads to take. Along the central portion of the western edge is World Scar, where Wyverns live. Some can be found flying along the western slopes, making this portion of the Mountains particularly dangerous. Beyond the World Scar, and on the remaining edges of the Mountains, are the Dunes.

Notes
* While astonishingly rare, Wyverns can indeed spawn anywhere throughout the mountains, though due to its rarity, most people will assume it wandered from the World Scar.

* Rock Elementals spawn in high numbers here, and in some cases are completely invisible until you get too close, use caution when transversing, or be prepared to run at a moments notice!

* Despite the fact that this is the most common place for a Phoenix to spawn, its recommend to look elsewhere, as the dangers of this reigon and the massive differences in visibilty throughout the area make it a task that sounded much simpler on paper.
