The Net Projectile is an Ammunition in Genesis: Part 2 for the Harpoon Launcher. It can be launched out of the Harpoon Launcher and when it hits a target, it ensnares it completely.
The Net Projectile can immobilize a target caught in it for a minute. After it wears off you have to wait 30 seconds before you can net the target again. The netted dino cannot attack, tamed or wild, nor can the owner ride the dino. If the dino is tamed it can be cut away by anyone with a Metal Hatchet, Sword, Pike or Tek Sword by hitting the affected dino three times.
The Net projectile can show 3 crosshair colors. When the crosshair is blue it means that you are aiming at nothing. When it is green it means that the creature you are looking at can be immobilized by the net projectile. When it is red it means that the creature you are looking at cannot be immobilized by the net projectile.

Spotlight
Notes
- prior to patch 330.8 The Harpoon Launcher would cease to work under water when it had the ammo equipped.
- Some creatures like the Titanoboa and Arthropluera will still move around but not attack despite having the net projectile model on them.
- Best used to freeze and trap medium creatures like the Argentavis or Carnotaurus
