The Night Vision Goggles are a head-slot item which enable the wearer to see in the dark.
When worn, the user observes the world through a greened monochrome display with greatly enhanced light levels. It is not advised to wear the goggles during the day as the display is almost totally whited out.
While wearing the goggles, their durability slowly decreases, much like a Scuba Tank, at a rate of roughly one point per minute. They can be repaired in a fabricator using Absorbent Substrate and AnglerGel. A fully broken set of goggles can be repaired with 15 Gel and 8 Substrate.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- On mobile you have to have your graphics set to at least "high" for them to work.
- On mobile it's no problem to wear them during the day, you can still see very well.
- According to the image in the gallery down below, is says that, while the night vision goggles provide sight at night, you need to beware of bright light sources. This may or may not be a reference to a mission in Call of Duty: Ghosts called End of the Line, in where the player is fighting against some Federation soldiers and uses smoke grenades to confuses them, until the enemy uses flashbangs, causing temporary blindness to the player and his or her allies and to stop using the night vision goggles with thermal vision
