Basic Info[]

Patient Note[]

This dossier section is intended to be an exact copy of what Dr. Sophia, the author of the Patient Notes has written. There may be some discrepancies between this text and the in-game creatures.

Noctis Pt. Note (Mobile)
Pre-exposure

Subject is docile and subject to fleeing when approached too quickly, is easily frightened by aggressive behavior and loud commotion. Does not appear to willfully engage in any form of conflict, even at the cost of its own life.

Post-exposure

Not only has it become incredibly aggressive and no longer flees from the first sign of trouble, but the biological changes are beyond what have been observed in any other subject. The subject's entire body has gone up hundreds of degrees in temperature without adverse effects on the subjects well-being, and the heat radiates out of it like that of a wildfire. Strangely enough, the subject has an extreme aversion to light - that is, it shies away from, and even appears to fear, sources of light beyond those cast by its own body.

~ Dr. Sophia

Behavior[]

The Noctis is essentially a giant, fiery unicorn. However, instead of fleeing if approached, it will instead attack the person approaching it. While this doesn’t do too much damage, one should still stay wary of its kick, as it could inflict torpor and knock one out, leaving an unsuspecting survivor helpless to the Noctis's attacks.

Appearance[]

Color Scheme and Regions[]

X mark

The Noctis always spawns with the same color scheme and has no color regions.

This means it is currently impossible to make alterations to the Noctis's colors.

Combat[]

This section describes how to fight against the Noctis.

General[]

If the survivor encounters the Noctis, it must be tamed in order to beat the Dungeons.

Strategy[]

To tame the Noctis, the survivor should attempt to jump on it as quick as possible, and feed it File:Rockarrots.png Rockarrots. A Major Soothing Balm is highly recommended. The survivor should be wary of the lava in the Arena. It does substantial damage, but does not hit the player.

There is a large rock on the left side of the arena which provides safety from the Noctis. However, the Noctis cannot be mounted from this rock, so the player must jump down to tame it.

Weaponry[]

Dangers[]

The kick of the Noctis applies lots of Torpor Torpor, and getting knocked out can prove fatal.

If the survivor comes unprepared, they may face an issue with time. Act quickly once you have enough carrots to tame the boss.

Weakness[]

  • Ride on it and spam carrots whenever it needs it and it won't dismount you.

Notes/Trivia[]

  • The Noctis has a 1 in 1000 or 1/500 (blitz week) chance to appear when attempting to teleport to a Boss Room.
  • If you want to leave the Dungeon with loot you have to tame the Noctis instead of killing it.
  • The Noctis is tamable with Kibble (Dilo Egg) Kibble (Dilo Egg) or Rockarrot Rockarrot that it drops (instead of regular Feces Feces) or are brought by the survivor.
  • If the survivor is not mounted on the Noctis or has not chronicled it before teleporting out of the Arena, the Noctis can't be used on The Island. If an unchronicled Noctis Creature Implant (Mobile) Creature Implant is brought back without the Noctis itself, the Noctis will die and cannot be revived.
  • The Noctis produces a trail of lava when jumping and shoots five fire balls instead of doing a kick.
  • The Noctis receives reduced fall damage when jumping from great heights.
  • While in the arena, the Noctis is always level 1.
  • When tamed, the Noctis becomes level 100.
  • The Noctis will spawn with a randomly assigned Equus power. This changes randomly when the tame is chronicled and recalled. It can get as high as 2.75.
