Other survivors in lore

Throughout the ARK lore, there are other survivors that the explorer survivors mention. They have also made pivotal roles in the story.

Island Survivors

• Isabelle
  • She is Rockwell's closest assistant.
  • She was the one who advised him to take a break from his research and experiments by doing recreational things, leading him to find the Artifact of the Skylord.
  • When Rockwell left Rockwell manor to aid Nerva, he left the manor in Isabelle's care.
• Nerva's Lieutenant
  • He/she was the one who introduced Nerva and the New Legion to guns, weapons that greatly increased the tribe's firepower.
• Fisherman
  • First mentioned by Li Mei Yin when a tribe of fishermen wanted to hire her. He called her by her newly earned alias: The Beast Queen of the Jungle.

Scorched Earth Survivors

Pre-timeskip

• Girisha
  • A survivor that Raia described to be huge with broad shoulders.
  • He referred to Raia as the official leader of Nosti.
  • Raia convinced him to stop bringing rocks and have him draw up blueprints/plans for buildings.
  • He made a makeshift guard for Nosti which John Dahkeya improved upon.
  • Throughout the lore, Girisha was responsible as the architect of Nosti and he helped implement glass for the greenhouses and wind turbines for electricity.
  • He died during Nosti's collapse and was the first survivor that came to Raia's traumatized mind.
• Amir
  • He was the head farmer of Nosti.
  • Raia wanted him to focus on farming so the settlement can have food.
  • He died during Nosti's collapse.
• John Dahkeya's partners
  • John met them during his first days on Scorched Earth and joined in robbing other survivors as bandits.
  • John noted that they aren't willing to listen to reason.
  • They later joined John in being part of Nosti's guard.
  • They died during Nosti's collapse
• Blondie
  • One of John's partners that he noted doesn't listen very well.
  • He was killed by John when he didn't accept his choice in helping Nosti.
• Frenchman
  • A member of Nosti's guard, he shot a thorny dragon which shot spines at him that caused the entire gathering party and John's men to spend hours to get them out.
  • He died during Nosti's collapsed.
• Raia's kidnappers
  • Disguised as traders for metal ingots, they asked for Raia to personally see the trade.
  • They soon kidnapped Raia to be held for ransom, which John and Nosti's guard quickly killed.
  • John executed the last kidnapper to send a message and their deaths motivated Raia to learn how to shoot a gun from John.
• Sasha
  • She is a 21st century survivor from Russia that is affiliated with GRU, the country's special forces.
  • She was chosen by John to help rat out the mantis nest and her bombs helped destroy the nest.
  • She was saved by John when a Mantis was about to kill her.
  • She was another survivor alongside John to notice that the obelisks are acting strange after the mantis nest destruction.
  • Sasha died during the fall of Nosti when John couldn't get to her in time as she was hanging on a ledge.

Post-Timeskip

• The Caravan
  • They were the first group of survivors that Helena met on Scorched Earth.
  • Told Helena about the Rock Elementals and Deathworms, creatures of mythological origin.
• The Village that Helena found
  • Helena found this settlement after going to some high ground.
  • They helped Helena in training with a gun at their firing range.
  • The village was about to get attacked by mantis until Raia saved them with her wyverns.
  • Before Helena set out, they gave her a morellatops and supplies.
• Prophet's Rest
  • They were the first settlement that Rockwell found on Scorched Earth.
  • Rockwell aided those who were ill, though most of them had a heatstroke.
  • They had all 3 artifacts and worshipped them like idols, which Rockwell stole.
• Timur
  • The tribe leader of the Burning Phoenix Tribe
  • Rockwell noted he was like a person who would be a Khan from the Tatar empires.
    • The Tatars are referred to a group of people who joined in Genghis Khan's conquest.
  • He summoned Rockwell to help his wife, Nasrin, to deliver their child.
  • Rockwell helped deliver their child, making him a father.
  • He was persuaded by Rockwell into facing the Manticore.
  • Timur gave Rockwell the first known pieces of Element.
  • He and some other tribe members died when they ate a feast that was poisoned by Rockwell.
• Nasrin
  • She is the wife of Timur.
  • Rockwell noted her to be timid, contrary to her husband.
  • Her pregnancy and the fact that new survivors are born on the ARKs have never crossed Rockwell's mind.

Aberration Survivors

• Halstead
  • He was one of Diana's teammates in recon and in the Element ore retrieval mission.
  • He and Diana was saved by Mei Yin during the mission, but he was wounded by the reapers.
  • He died when a baby reaper burst out of his chest.
• Flynn Lars
  • He/she was one of Diana's team members in the Element ore retrieval mission, but they were killed by Reapers.
• Rojo
  • He/she was one of Diana's team members in the Element ore retrieval mission, but they were killed by Reapers.
• Mei Yin's team members
  • Helena met them when Mei Yin took her and Rockwell to her camp. There, she learned about them being from the future, indicating that the year is far beyond 2008.

Extinction Survivors

• Takaya/Kenishi Kazuma
  • He was a URE soldier from the Panasia alliance, more specifically, the country of Japan.
  • He was chosen to be one of the four mek pilots by Santiago because of his military training.
  • Kazuma told Santiago during his interview that if he was chosen, he would paint his mek red.
  • Mei Yin went to Kazuma about tightening patrols to stay alert of any danger.
  • He warned Mei Yin and Helena of the impending Corrupted horde that was coming to the Monolithic structure after Helena saw a dream of Titans coming after her. His alert confirmed that what Helena saw through the prism were not hallucinations, but real images.
  • He was slaughtered alongside the remainder of the Tek tribe by the Corrupted horde and the King Titan after Helena found the prism.
  • Diana and Mei Yin found his and the other remaining tribe members decaying corpses at the battle site when they needed the two other meks.
  • Diana had memories of her past life with him at the battle of the Thailand gulf when an Orbital carrier crashed.
  • He was a 2nd Lieutenant of the 15 Mechanized Squad who was born in 2125.
• Sergei Averin
  • He was a second class URE private in the 239 infantry unit who was born in 2126.
  • He was slaughtered alongside the remainder of the Tek tribe by the Corrupted horde and the King Titan after Helena found the prism.
• Roger Wolf
  • He was a Terran Federation Staff Sergeant in the 95 Specialized unit who was born in 2121.
  • He was slaughtered alongside the remainder of the Tek tribe by the Corrupted horde and the King Titan after Helena found the prism.
• Alessa Bonnet
  • She was a Terran Federation Communications officer who was born in 2119.
  • She was slaughtered alongside the remainder of the Tek tribe by the Corrupted horde and the King Titan after Helena found the prism.
• The Other Homo deus
  • Helena/One Who Waits noted that the others might have had a great time being a Homo deus, but they their minds have long crumbled, making Helena unable to talk with them. As a result, she felt lonely and the player was the only one she can talk to.

Genesis: Part 1 Survivors

Over the course of the Genesis Simulation, some survivors had made their fair share of glitches. Some of these glitches refer to things that real-life players can do:

• Survivor 5447B49
  • She literally chewed more than she can swallow as she stuffed 512 berries in her mouth at once and a glitch was made once she puked all the berries back out.
    • This is a nod to how in-game where players can eat thousands of berries at once.
• Survivor 992F1J7
  • He glitches the system by going on quests and claiming to be a wizard who "fireballs" the dinos he died so many times that a glitch happened.
• Survivor 38Q8124
  • He refused to sleep because of a dino tame, overfilling his brain, causing a glitch to occur since the Genesis Simulation does routine maintenance and memory capture while survivors sleep.
    • This is an in-game reference to how players would go to great lengths to tame a creature.
• Survivor 9921S50
  • A Mongolian during the time of Genghis Khan's Mongol Empire, couldn't comprehend all of the water in the ocean biome since he only saw lakes and rivers, and as a result, it blew his mind and created a glitch.
• Survivor 723K401
  • She was someone who wanted to leave their mark on the world as a glitch occurred when she just placed pillars around the entire map.
    • This refers to a common PVP tactic where players put an enormous number of foundations to increase a tribe's territory.
• Survivor 31V550J
  • He is a person who needs a new hobby because he made a glitch when he made a box but he placed a box within a box until 16 layers were made.
    • This refers to players placing tons of boxes on the same spot to get lots of exp from them.
• Survivor 50IU266
  • He was so lonely that he made a village of mannequins out of thatch and sticks in an attempt to cope with his loneliness by talking to them but the glitch happened a stray spark lit the entire fake village on fire.
• Survivor 4405T31
  • He made a complex heating and plumbing system to make a hot tub and he invited his friends to a party. HLNA says the glitch occurred just the same way a hot tub party crashes: Too many people in the hot tub.
• Survivor 799K3B1
  • The survivor made a glitch when he cracked his knuckles so many times to hear the expected pop sound.
• Survivor 410L098
  • The survivor was trapped in a glitch when she died of poison but the Simulation itself didn't clear the poison before respawning her, making her wake up in excruciating pain.
• Survivor 33J4640
  • She was a survivor who made flat platforms all over the place. The glitch occurred when she made her obstacle course complex and she challenged other survivors to do the course but the countless deaths and respawns glitched her and everything she built.
• Survivor B424660
  • She tamed dodos and thought the dodos were talking to her. She even talked about "Dodo Wisdom" and other survivors joined her to become "Disciples of the Dodo". Her glitch occurred when a rex ate her and all of her dodos gathered around the rex.
• Survivor 69Y4421
  • This survivor somehow figured out how to make a building with two left turns equalling a right turn, something the system will glitch out on.
• Survivor 710D439
  • The survivor made so many bonfires and structures that spelled words to attract whoever is watching over the simulation that the simulations glitched out.
