The Silicate is a resource in ARK: Survival Evolved's DLC Extinction and can be used in recipes as a replacement for 
Silica Pearls.
Gathering[]
Can be found in clumps throughout the Forbidden Zone and can be harvested with a 
Hatchet, 
Chainsaw or 
Ankylosaurus. The Silicate rocks also provide 
Stone, 
Flint and 
Obsidian.
Usage[]
Like Silica Pearls, Silicate is an ingredient in the following Crafting recipes:
Notes[]
- There is a bug that makes Silicate stored in structures (Smithy, Fabricator, etc.) disappear when the survivor quits the game and restarts.
- Do not upload silicate into an obelisk. It will remain, but will be invisible. You can not take the silicate out of the obelisk because of this, essentially it will waste your item slots.
