The Snow Desert is a region in the Valguero DLC.
You'll have to watch out for 
Wolves, 
Golems and 
Wyverns.
you also need 
Fur Armor .
Overview[]
The Snow desert Has freezing air, auroras and many other events.
it's the best place to get 
Pelt but you can also get it from other creatures outside of the Snow like 
Ovis or 
Procoptodon.
it's also the only place to get 
Wyvern Eggs and 
Sulfur the best way to get 
Organic Polymer and 
Charcoal and the only place to find 
Mantis ( to tame a mantis you'll have to travel to another ARK for 
Deathworm Horn)
You can get Organic Polymer by killing Mantis and 
Kairuku.
Sulfur by killing Ice Golems or harvesting sulfur nodes in The Great Trench.
Charcoal by Harvesting Scorched Trees in The Great Trench by a 
Wyvern,
Chainsaw or a 
Megatherium.
