From what I've seen, it stays forever. But if you're noticing yours disappearing, remember that other survivors have the option to "destroy tracker" if they get close to your creature. --Mr Pie 5 (talk) 03:56, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Tip

If you're playing on single player and are having trouble placing a transponder node on a critter, try using the ghost command to get closer (you may have to clip through the critter for it to work) and aim for the body. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.192.244.24 (talkcontribs) at 1:45 August 30, 2015(UTC).
