The Tek Stego Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved, added as a permanent addition on the release of Extinction Chronicles II.

Overview[]

Tek Stego Eggs are randomly dropped by Tek Stegos. They can be eaten or used to make Regular Kibble for taming Anglerfish, Ankylosaurus, Baryonyx, Beelzebufo, Carbonemys, Carnotaurus, Dimetrodon, Diplodocus, Doedicurus, Gigantopithecus, Ichthyornis, Kaprosuchus, Kentrosaurus, Lymantria, Pelagornis, Pteranodon, Pulmonoscorpius, Purlovia, Sabertooth, Sarco, Stegosaurus, Terror Bird, Thorny Dragon, and Velonasaur.

After two Tek Stegos mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby Tek Stego.

Grabbing an egg in the presence of wild Tek Stegos will cause them to become hostile and attack the survivor.

Incubation

Disambig.png Main article: Incubation

The Tek Stego Egg takes 2h 46m 39.2s to hatch. It must be in the temperature range of 22 to 28 °C / 72 to 82 °F to successfully hatch, otherwise it will start to lose Health. The female Tek Stego needs between 18h and 2d before having the capacity to lay eggs again. The incubation time can be reduced by up to 20% if the egg is placed in an Egg Incubator at the ideal temperature.
