Trees are found all over the island, and can be harvested for two important resources: Wood and Thatch. Trees come in many different shapes and sizes, including small and large palm trees, huge oak trees and driftwood. The larger the tree, the more resources you usually get.
Usage
Wood and Thatch can be harvested with a Pickaxe, Hatchet or with your bare Fists. Picks yield more thatch, while hatchets yield more wood. Punching trees hurts, and should be avoided unless there is no other way.
Trees will not regrow in a certain radius around structures, but they can be regrown by using Re-Fertilizer.
Wood and Thatch can also be gathered by some dinosaurs, and huge dinosaurs sometimes fell trees while walking.
