The Visigoth Trading Tribe was established under Eltarii and Ogrim on Official Primative PVP Server 443. We are a tribe of mature players who are interested in the art of trade and in generating a great offical server community. We are still in our growth and building phase in development but already have positive relationships in trade with the major tribes of the server. The Visigoths are presently organized into two different branches of internal government, The Guardsmen (lead by Pro Consol) and The Senate (lead by Consol).
The Guardsmen are the workhorses of The Visigoth Tribe and all new members join and serve in this branch of the governement prior to serveing other positions. The Guardsmen are responsible for resource gathering and protection. The initiate rank, or Pedatta (foot-soldirs) who protect trade convoys and assist in defenses of every Visigoth Trade Post by collecting resources. The Pedatta are a training force and are never used for combative purposes outside of defense unless the tribe has been forced into a time of war. Pedatta are trained in game mechanics and how to utalize tribe resources, build effectivly, tame, and gain a bassic understanding of how to survive the ARK. Service as a Pedatta is generally 1-2 weeks depending on the recruits aptency upon completion of service the Pedatta's training supervisor will provide the initiate with a mid level tamed dino of the recruits choice. At that point in time some Pedatta chose to leave the Visigoth's to persue other ventures and are free to do so! For those who stay they can assume paths down taming to become a Master of the Saddle or down hunting and escort to become a Master of War. Once a member has achieved the rank of Master in The Guardsmen they are initiated into the Senate structure.
The Senate is the class of tradesmen and politicians that are involved in all walks of server life. The Senator may be a local representative of the Visigoths in the viscinity of a trade ally and command the trade post in the area. The entry level rank of a Senator is Quaestor. The Quaestor can chose a path of trade, politics, building, or community. The path of community leads to the Master of the Plebians rank and the senator is responsible for holding server wide events and competitions. Politics can lead to Consol who represents the tribe in external affairs and discusses actions amongst the server counsle headed by leaders of the major and invited minor tribes. Building can lead to the Aedile position whom is responsible for organising all major works, resource mandates, and aquisitions. Trade can lead to the Praetor rank who coordinates with the Aediles for resources in terms of aquisition and trade. The Praetor is the quintisential role of the tribe that ties the entire group together!
Sounds like a lot of work? It isn't The Visigoth Trading Tribe does not want any member to be burned out and activity is not demanded. We created a structure that assists new players in playing and learning and tries to generate a positive community on the server. All of the documentation/requisitions/organization occurs through the use of notes in-game. Ranks are displayed in the middle of every main trade post.
