Overview[]
The Tripwire Alarm Trap is a single-use trap that emits a loud noise when triggered. It is set up by placing two of the traps down fairly near each other. Once you've done this, a wire will form between them and act as the tripwire. This is a really useful way of keeping track of anyone trying to trespass on your land, however the uses on PvE servers are very limited. By default the trap will not be triggered by your tribe or allies, to change this behavior you need to access its options and change it so that it can.
You may set a custom name or ID for each trip wire and when the trip wire is triggered by a non-tribe member, that alarm sends a message through tribe chat with its name and a date stamp. The alarm is heard no matter where you are. This message does not seem to alert Allies.
Painting and Color Regions[]
The Tripwire Alarm Trap is not currently paint-able, however this object may be re-mapped to include paint regions in a future update.
For more information on Paint Regions and how to use them, please view the Dye, Paintbrush, or Spray Painter pages.
Notes[]
- 243.0 added Custom Tripwire Alarm Notifications via SurviveTheArk.com (E-mail and Forum). Optionally Tribes can post to arbitrary URL, if they have a custom system! Now if someone's raiding your base, you can get on top of it! ;)
- 250.0 added a Per-Alarm-Tripwire Option to stop tribe members and allies triggering the alarm by default.
