The Troodon Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Overview[]

Troodon Eggs are randomly dropped by Troodons. They can be eaten or used to make Regular Kibble for taming Anglerfish, Ankylosaurus, Baryonyx, Beelzebufo, Carbonemys, Carnotaurus, Dimetrodon, Diplodocus, Doedicurus, Gigantopithecus, Ichthyornis, Kaprosuchus, Kentrosaurus, Lymantria, Pelagornis, Pteranodon, Pulmonoscorpius, Purlovia, Sabertooth, Sarco, Stegosaurus, Terror Bird, Thorny Dragon, and Velonasaur.

After two Troodons mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby Troodon.

Grabbing an egg in the presence of wild Troodons will cause them to become hostile and attack the survivor.

Incubation

Disambig.png Main article: Incubation

The Troodon Egg takes 1h 8m 10.582s to hatch. It must be in the temperature range of 28 to 32 °C / 82 to 90 °F to successfully hatch, otherwise it will start to lose Health. The female Troodon needs between 18h and 2d before having the capacity to lay eggs again. The incubation time can be reduced by up to 20% if the egg is placed in an Egg Incubator at the ideal temperature.

Collecting[]

It is not advised to take a Troodon egg in the wild unless you are absolutely sure there are no Troodons around.

If you are not sure or positive that there are Troodons around then DO NOT take the egg. Doing so will almost certainly cause near-instant death.

If you do find a Troodon egg in the wild and plan on taking It, then your best option is scout around before taking it, but don't go too far, as the Troodons could be anywhere. Once you are done scouting, cautiously take the egg and then immediately run to the nearest body of water. Troodons may be fast on land but, they are horrible swimmers. Cross the water and travel far away from the area. You now have your own Troodon egg!

Super Fertilized Egg (Mobile)[]

Super Fertilized Troodon Eggs are a type of Troodon Egg exclusive to ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile.

These Eggs can be obtained after a female Troodon with a Carnivore Pheromone applied has laid one. They will hatch quicker than normal Troodon Eggs and the baby Troodon will have better stats when it has hatched.
