Viking Bay is a region between the Oluf Jungle and Freyja Plains. Viking Bay is also fairly safe as it has more potential base locations than threats. However, east of the bay, larger predators appear more often than on the West.
Overview[]
This biome includes rocky beaches and a bay with a sunken Viking longship. Some
Oil nodes can be found in this area. This is an easy spawn for Ragnarok, as not many dangerous things spawn here. Still, beware of any creatures which descend onto the shoreline. While dangerous creatures don't spawn here,
Rexes,
Terror Birds,
Raptors, and other predators can wander down from the surrounding hills, turning this usually quiet bay into a very dangerous place for newcomers.
The Opal Cave and Kamaka Cave are only a few of the many caves in this region.
One of the entrances to the Water Tunnels can be found here.

Notes[]
The bay itself is known to be inhabited by many
Eurypterids, which also happen to be encountered on the beaches. In addition, its proximity to other, more dangerous areas means that a staggering variety of predators including
Rexes,
Argentavis,
Dilophosaurus,
Carnotaurus,
Allosaurus,
Raptors, and alpha variants may wander towards your campsite. If you can take out the sea-dwelling creatures in the bay, you could scuba dive to the shipwreck and salvage the cargo with a pick axe or an axe. Doing so will give you swords, crossbows, and shields. So it's a good trip if you can manage it. If you haven't got access to scuba, you can get a tribe mate to lure the danger away while you mine the crates.
