The Wooden Shield is the first unlockable shield.

As of version 223.2, The Wooden Shield does not take damage from Grenades or Rocket Propelled Grenades, the user still does however.

Usage

The Wooden Shield is a useful low-level item used to block damage from in front of you. To equip it, go into your Inventory and drag the Shield to your off-hand slot. The Shield will be automatically in use when not holding anything, allowing you to block incoming damage. It can also be used simultaneously with Pickaxes, Axes and Swords to protect you while gathering or fighting.

Notes

• The Wooden Shield cannot be used while in water.
